After completing a feasibility study we were commissioned to provide host broadcast services and a backbone of international experience to operate the International Broadcast Centre (IBC). This is included the aggregation and broadcast of local event coverage such as opening/closing ceremonies, soccer, rugby, boxing, athletics, weightlifting and beach volleyball.
At a high level we were responsible for:
- Full event executive production
- All sport production planning
- Creation of world feed and internet content offering
- Technical operations planning, management and system integration
- Comprehensive project plan
Specifically, our content work stream encompassed developing guidelines for presenting and commentating, camera positions, shot framing, vision switching, and managing in-game replays and graphics layout. We also handled field audio setup, interview positions, and transmission procedures,
We broadcast 11 days of live and replayed sports coverage from the Van2017 Pacific Games and it’s international world feed, to broadcasters in Vanuatu and the Pacific region. The YouTube Live channel garnered close to 48,000 views, with over 8,000 hours of content watched during the event.
